Think Outside the Box: How Embellishments Can Highlight Your Product

Embellished packaging can greatly enhance the customer experience and should be considered when showcasing your products.

When designing boxes and packaging for your products there is a lot to consider; size, shape, thickness, as well as how to hold your product in place. But the goal of a product box is to display your product and draw the eye of your target customer. To do this most effectively, you need to think beyond the walls of the box and consider how you can use it to best showcase your product.

Consider your brand and product and what makes it special:

• Are there specific colors, logos, or product features that you want to draw attention to?
• Do you want the box to include a window that shows the product to the customer?
• What is the size of the box and how much room do you have for text, logos and product information?


Now, consider how to incorporate that uniqueness into the packaging. There are several print finishing embellishments that can be used to make your box and product stand out, such as:

• Die cuts and laser cutting to create product windows, custom shapes or patterns
• Embossing to create raised areas and texture

• Instead of a square window, could you create one in the shape of your product or other shape?
